Photography became an interest of mine when I needed to acquire images to use as references for my drawings and paintings. However, it soon developed into an obsession and one of my fondest hobbies. Photography gives me the ability to capture fragments of time as I have experienced them and give them back to the world. The immediacy of the medium allows me to capture moments I may not have even been consciously aware of. It also forces me to view reality in its deeper contexts: as a universe of light, shadow, and never ending visual and psychological compositions.
